Vinland Saga - Vol. 21 Ch. 149 - Baltic Sea War, Part 25

Good to see that Thorfinn had not succumb back into his old self. Nice chapter as always.

Hell, Baldr is a better leader and a more humane person at his age than Ol' Floker ever was. Went a little predictable considering the well-established personalities, but good nonetheless.

It was necessary for Thorfinn to spare Floki. Otherwise he would just count as hypocrite and give Hild a reason to get her revenge. Regardless of reason that Floki having planned the murder while Thorfinn simply killed Hild's father without deeper relations.

Hild is still holding back with the condition of Thorfinn having changed for better and resolve things peacefully.

I will literally never understand people who want Thorfinn to go back to how he was as a child. Vinland Saga has had such wonderful character development for him, and this was probably the most solid test of his character he will ever experience. And what a way to do it: breaking that sword over his knee was such a great visual.

Anyone who thinks Thorfinn would have killed Floki has absolutely zero reading comprehension.

Thorfinn is massively powerful, I don't think y'all understand that. Still waiting on that conclusion with Garm.

Ahhh the ninjas cutting onions again
Baldr is a great leader nonetheless but I also feel bad for him.

I'm worried that he'll go ape shit because if he did all that Character Development is for nothing.

I loved the way they drew Thorfinn's hair on page 9. The unhinged hair makes it really look like his old self
