It’s a bit disappointing that they use ridiculous and unrealistic plot devices to move forward. Floki freaking out like that just because of a tiny cut is ridiculous, cut a part of his ear or a phalanx. It’s far from being the first time but Still.

im fine with some comic relief, but honestly sigurd and his crew are close to ruining this arc if not the whole manga, that barrel crash shit is ridiculous and robs this arc of a lot of dramatic tension

As much as i like the comedic part of this series, i think the mangaka kinda overdid it. It's not unfunny, but it's not a perfect place for it either. If they ever going to make a season 2 for the anime then i hope they can lower down the amount of joke that will come up. I prefer the serious tone of this series tbh, having Thorkell as a strong and comedic character is enough. Though, i can't say i don't like Sigrud crew.
