Virtues of the Villainess - Ch. 27

Heh, she doesn't realize how scary this guy is. The guy can literally manipulate memories and see the future. He could make you do anything without you ever realizing it.

Hmmm I wonder what Hamel's goal is... Izana admit it you like her!! Thank you for the mass release~

aa i like this manhwa :) it can have a bunch of second hand embarrassment sometimes but i like that because it adds to her clueless villainess character? and there’s definitely going to be some pretty good plot yknow ^^

sometimes, we just need a big dumb but sincere character in our stories. idk, Ginger's character is just so light-hearted and stupidly honest that's just kinda refreshing. no big brain powers. no angst or any heavy responsible thinking or massive knowledge about the world that dumps a whole lot more exposition. just big dumb i will make u fall for me and it'll be fun for the both of us (hopefully TvT) . Reminds me of Seduce the villainess but with more insight on the ML and more light. Also, i found it really charming that by the end of Izana and Ginger's convo, Izana was actively closing his eyes as he gave ginger his coat and sent her off to avoid reading her thoughts which i thought was a small but welcomed detail.

thank you for the translation

Izana might not be in live with ginger yet, but he is definitely interested in her romantically. Although he won't admit it. I really love the dynamic between the two. The very sincere Ginger is perfect with Izana.

@dementedcockroachondrugs I don't speak Korean, but there are some semantic parallels in how even unrelated East Asian languages deal with certain concepts. If the Korean word is any similar to the Japanese 正体, which is normally translated as "true identity", there's a nuance many translators fail to capture.

That word means "true identity", but in a more abstract way it also means, "true face", "true form", as in "what they are hiding". It can be used very concretely, as in a monster that disguises as a human in a fairiy tale, and then reveals their true shape. But it can also mean "what their true goals are, what their agenda is".

So, if this guess is correct, what Ginger wants is to find out what makes Hamel tick, and why he's meddling in the king's business.
