I get the feeling that the one Hamel falls in love with is actually Ginger and not Lerajie. I mean why the fuck would he like Lerajie when he knows how much of an ass she is? He just didn't disclose it in the novel because he doesn't want Ginger to know as he's trying to save everyone from the tragic ending while discarding himself completely. Or that's just my wishfull thinking because I see way more chemistry between him and Ginger than Ginger and Izana... It just looks like Ginger always swoons over Izana because he's handsome or pitiful which is just not my kind of romance
