Vtuber General Thread

@Grimmycoffee
@comeonnow0

Many of the hololive talents are previously singers, artists, or vtubers/streamers. Botan was on a professional FPS team. Suisei failed an idol audition for being too good at everything and not having a point she excelled at. A few of them have separate identities they do other types of streams in. Like ASMR or makeup tutorials or cooking.

it’s just twitch thots but for weebs and also I prefer my creators to not actively promote pedofilia at least
I seem to remember this same (or a similar) post in the other vtuber thread.

I may have said this elsewhere, but VTubers > Twitch thots, absolutely no contest. I'll list the two biggest reasons that come to mind right now.

[ol]1. The level of care VTubers actually have for their audience (which is pretty much directly correlated with their actual passion for streaming and building/interacting with a community).

2. This video.

As for the pedophilia thing, I prefer my creators to genuinely care about creating good content/connecting with fanbases as opposed to altering their persona based on whatever they think will make the most money.

Good to see Noel's Dark Souls strategy of tanking every hit hasn't changed.

I liked this thread more before you started talking about retarded shit.

I did not realize there were official animated clips using the 3d models as well as full on scripted episodes in 3d of the hololive girls with subtitles.

At time of posting:

[ul]Gawr Gura: 514k subs

Mori Calliope: 333k subs (half of 666? kinda sus)

Watson Amelia: 304k subs

Ninomae Ina'nis: 281k subs

Takanashi Kiara : 244k subs[/ul]
I guess shark girl really took off.

Aki Rosenthal got bumped from 70k to 200k or more in the span of a week or so after talking about it on stream. This was after the EN girls launched, as well. Some of them jumped past her immediately. Must have felt kinda bad.

@BestBoy can't be helped, just more people speak english...
Not that I don't acknowledge those who watch jpn streams even without understanding the language fully, but for most people it's simply easier to follow the streams in english - it is also more convenient when you don't have to pay attention to translations in chat..
