I was expecting this "escape" event to stretch out until the final chapter, in a conventional action-manga manner.

But no... This chapter concluded said event swiftly, and gave us (and Aimi) time to reflect on things. I'm liking this change of pace! Our mangaka isn't a hack, it would seem.
