In these cheaply written cn manhua, no matter how low level and insignificant an enemy is, they still use at least a chapter to get rid of them. It's boring and an intentional waste of time. They simply can't let the mc insta-kill any enemies at all, giving them pointless taunt lines and an unnecessarily long fight scene.

@4stjack you need demo and proof of level up. Else imagine a wuxiaworld only with final battle with godly power while all previous chapters was traveling and chit-chat... Not readable.

@Kamelpov Don't bother trying to explain literary device to people like that...not worth it. I mean, they act like this only happens in manhua...when it happens all the time in battle manga, too. The idea of showing off how much the MC's power has improved to show their development is lost to them... :/

@Kami_Nana also in harry potter too. You get the invisibility cloak and use it asap... Every tool or power you get usually you use it right away during the story arc usually.
