Meh I'm still satisfied, even though the ending was pretty rushed for sure. our sweet cinnabun got everything she deserves in the end <3! And honestly the way she finally learned to smile conscious is kinda poetic. Just as her co-worker said, she's terrible at doing things for herself... But ofc she excels when it's for others. Feeling like she had to smile for Hanako's smile to return is what triggered it. And that's also what the last panel means by "original intention." She smiles and remembers how to because she remembers that if she smiles, Hanako smiles.

Though yeah... Few loose ends that haven't been tied up. Like how about finding out about how her mom is an ex-delinquent? And seriously... It woulda been nice to have at least a full volume (17 chapters for this manga) to revel in sotomura finally getting what she deserves.

At any rate, I recommend Watamote. It's about someone who starts out pathetic for the first few volumes (legit depressing), but then you see lots and lots of progress over the course of many volumes at a satisfying pace. You see the character progress in so many ways and situations, and you're given lots of time to enjoy the satisfaction.
