I don't know that they're out of order. If you've ever talked with old people, stories tend to ramble all over the place. I think it's just the order that they remembered and told stuff in.
 
The part where the white hair girl had PTSD when she heard the mine explosion and her mother tried to calm her down was heartbreaking.
 
@Melnikova I felt the same way about this chapter. When I tell stories, I digress all over the place. Memories are kind of episodic, so I think many people just kind of pull them out at random, like shuffling through stacks of paper on a desk. And I'm not even telling stories from 30 years ago, but just last week, lol.
