I think the author's kind of written themself into a corner with Komi-something. The only way for her to be able to develop properly (from what I can tell) would be for her to either give up on her love for Tomoki (which definitely won't happen) or for some serious development to happen with her relationship with Tomoki (which, knowing Tomoki, probably also won't happen). I'd like to see a serious arc confront this character's craziness but sadly I don't see that happening in the future.
