@Nicito I agree with you that it is annoying, but I think it makes sense.

1. She's jealous of her older sister and has an inferiority complex. She wants to get out of her sister's 'shadow' through looking cute and is confused on why her sister is more loved than her as long as she's not as good-looking.
2. If you're referring to Fuwa manipulating everyone's memories, I think she would just be baffled on why everyone suddenly knows him. She's human after all and it's natural that she doesn't completely understand alien abilities. (If someone popped into my life and manipulated everyone's memories to recognize him I'd be weirded out asf as well)

MC's sister feels like the typical shoujo protagonist (being kind, open-hearted and quirky). MC's got a sister/inferiority complex and sort of superficial, which is at least better than Mary Sue's. Overall this is pretty refreshing for me since it feels like it's told from a different perspective than a classic shoujo.
I do think the MC is really frustrating at times though

@06790679 it is not really that she was weirded out by the alien manipulating memories. But that she actually held a grudge and was being defensive about it. I might give this another shot tho, maybe I've changed my perceptions. Will try to read a couple of chapters again.
