Look at everyone coming up with all these random theories.

Is it so hard to just accept that the situation is probably exactly as it says on the tin? Her mom got r*ped by some dude after her fall from grace, her servant decided to hide her away to save her from the humiliation, and they don't want people to realize what she really looks like because it'll give away her parentage and result in a huge mess that will destroy whatever life her mother's managed to scrap together for herself.

Being a bit screwed up is understandable when you consider the trauma she must have gone through lol

Yet people seem fine with siding with the, as of yet, unknown culprit over the (alleged) victim.

Though, going by amin's new "spoilers" the situation may be more grey than it seems XD

Ashley's mother:
-Went bonkers when she discovered how the world worked.
-Doesn't get raped or kidnapped.
-Doesn't give a fuck if all of a sudden her daughter disguises her appareance and becomes a gloomy person.
-Doesn't love Ashley but she likes having a daughter, so Ashley is most likely something replaceable for her.

Ashley's father:
-Is the younger brother of the king.
-Loves Ashley dearly.

Butler:
-Traumatizes Ashley during her childhood lying about her birth.
-Hates Ashley's father, who's described as a wonderful man by Ashley's mother.
-Looks like he is probably venting his anger and frustrations on Ashley, after all, he loves Ashley's mother and its likely that she doesn't see him as a man, probably not even as a person.
