@Flashplayer0CD There are no black people in this manga. Don't make this about race. Just read this for what it is, no need to be pushing any kind of 2020 agenda here. Keep that shit out of fantasy fiction.
@moodyz nope, not even a bit, they are generic, boring and a slog, i'd rather have more slice of life stuff if they cant make a shounen plot worth shit
@Eksentrysyti bruh its literally black face it doesnt have to be a black dude to make it racially offensive. we found it funny af and sure as hell arent feminazis but thats literally black face to a T. like google black face. we literally said that hes prolly not racist and just following characters like jinx or mr.popo. if u think this isnt black face you are actually blind lol
@Flashplayer0CD last time I asked a dozen people of different HSL colors about this no one cared. Stop pointing out problems that weren't there, you are the one making them real
@Xspeed that is objectively untrue, jinx's skin color was changed and mr. popo was also changed because of it. its not a big problem we were just pointing out how funny it was since like obviously the author has never met a black person lol. now get yo worf shirt wearin ass out my mentions lol
Of course only half of him is human, that’s his soul. His body probably is a manifestation of some sort across dimensions. Either that, or the wizard somehow notices this dude’s body should be dead... multiple times over.
Don't see it as rasist thought. Because someone can look like that(someone probably does). It's not like there is anything else known of that character though. Nor is he the only black guy there.
By the logic of "peoples" natural looks can be racist. The Cleopatra looking girl could also be described as rasist (tecniccally).
You could say the character was inspired by. The racist depiction. Some chibi art of a black dude. A tree, or black budda.
Afros. Anything really.
It's better than being a cart board copy that is painted black. For approval.
@ShionVaynex naw i think the artist is def not racist although you could never know lol but imma assume not. Im just going off of a general lack of knowledge of other cultures. What Trey was tryna say (theres 3 of us on the account and i think he was the one who was talking) was that the artist and author were lacking cultural sensitivety. Now trey isnt the type to get like angry about "cultural appropration" bullshit but i think he was commenting on the lack of knowledge on racially charged figures. And like i think just culturally as someone who lived there for a bit Japan definitely has a very poor understanding of black culture. So it wasnt racist but it was def not something that should just be ignored. I think the artist should maybe be shown some of the pictures that the guy resembled. Because obviously he could have drawn the character differently.
