So by the words of the ol lady fate CAN be manipulated BUTTT the ML did mention that she didn't see the strings so if you take her words as fact then the ML WILL end up with FL.

But if you take her vision(seeing/not seeing***.... The ML did speculate that, aka he was not a 100% certain...***the strings) into consideration then the ending is uncertain.
