Including saying things as translated, so it makes sense given those contexts that the Nobles would say such horrible things up front. In contrast to that, the new guy is surely an assassin. He's been spying on the Emperor as he first made contact with our FL through the cellphone. Now how did he get his cellphone in the first place though? That's some sci-fi mystery right there.
