I'm talking about the "Completed" marked by the user in their follows, not the status of a series.
Also, if a series marked as "Completed" gets updated, the chapter shouldn't automatically be marked read (the eye).

In my opinion you shouldn't mark the series as "completed" before all the chapters have been released and you have read them, that is a simple solution to this problem

In some cases a Manga will end and be tagged [end] then an extra chapter will be put out. So it's not that simple @WWWW4
