To be fair, although what you said might be plausible, it most likely is Cross-out. Reason behind is that there is a game with a title called Crossout in Japan. クロス does mean Cloth but it doesn't appear straight away inside your head when you see that word. I worked inside the restaurant + sushi for about 2 years but never have I heard any of my colleagues say クロス as cloth.

Then again, i hope it is Cloth out because that is a very good word play.
