I wasn't taking the MC seriously when she first said she wanted to run away from home because it's a typical thing teens say at that age. But seeing her talk with her mom, with how her mom just up and said "I want to live my own life now so you live your own life too" is not what a parent should say. It's one of the most irresponsible things I've ever seen. You have a child now who hasn't even finished schooling yet, and you think it's okay to just dump her at your mom's place so you can go out at night and have fun?? You're the adult, take responsibility. It's parents like these that kids so easily get taken down the wrong track, follow the wrong crowd, and throw away their own futures because they feel like there's no one there who'll care about them so they find that in other places.

It seems like the mother is depressed. From what I've seen so far, she's considerate of her daughter and befriended her too. I think they have some financial problems that's why she sold the old house. And I don't think the mother was happy about rebuilding the house either.

Anyway, I can see the young daughter's perspective she's still young to understand and notice her mother's struggles.
After reading the chapter I'm more interested in their relationship than romance
