I have to admit I'm not especially impressed with the answer Himari received regarding what love is.

@Lilliwyt most probably. Maybe she was just worried about Senpai, so she tried to make MC take a decision...in any way it would have ended, Senpai would have been able to move on.
There is the possibility that she has feelings too of course, but this is how it feels for me reading the last two chapters.

Eeeeeeeh, I’m not sure about that definition of love. It discounts the importance of physical attraction in a relationship. I get satisfaction out of doing nice things for my friends, but I don’t want to kiss, intimately touch, or have sex with them.

@igenetycs considering the manga is exploring what love is, I think it's perfect. Especially when you tie in the idea that there's 5 love languages, the usual one being touch (handholding, kissing") or quality time (dates), miki-senpai explained act of giving. If they go into acts of service or words of affirmation (which seems to be himari's #1 of expressing her love to those around her), I'd be really amazed.

@psychedelia The "act of giving" is a disappointingly platonic form of love for this particular situation - I would be incredibly underwhelmed if Himari decided she was in love based on that alone. I can't imagine Yori ever being satisfied with such a half baked response to her feelings. Yori's feelings of love are unambiguously romantic, she deserves better than "I think I probably love you because I wanna bake you sweets."

Yeah this chapter has kind of utterly failed to explore the distinction between the different kinds of love. It's hard to believe Himari is even taking this seriously if she hasn't even considered whether she wants physical intimacy from Yori. Wanting to bake for someone is in no way an inherently romantic sentiment I want to bake for people who I'm friendly acquaintances with.

@igenetycs hmm I think it's a great way to start for Himari who never held anything but platonic love. What's the rush? If eventually Himari realises that she wants to show ALL 5 love language to Yori more than anyone else, it's a win. If you rush people to fall in love with you, they might start to doubt their own feelings and Himari don't want to hurt Yori that way.

Also, was "half-baked" an intended pun? Hahahha.

@PedroSimao002 The love of Akki doesn't come out of nowhere,it was mentioned in chapter5.5,Akki showed that she fell in love with yori in the first sight.Although it is really weird to put such a important thing in an Extra -_-||
Akki didn't confess her feelings probably because she found yori was never interested in love,so Akki just keep it so that she can by her side as always.Now she know that yori found her love,So she wish yori can be happy,like in Seishun Buta Yarou,Shoko San said“I wish the man I love can always lives with happiness,can always keeps a smiling face,even though the smile doesn't belong to me.” We don't want a love triangle cause it always end up breaking someone's heart,Whatever, it's one of the most important themes in romance forever,the most famous of them may be White Album2.

@karolyn I have the same feeling that this manga is like Yagate kimi.They all have Kouhai who read shoujo manga,don't have romantic love ever,the Senpai fall in love first,and both of these manga got a rival who fell in love first,and who never interested in love until the kouhai shows up,So even the reason that can not confess is completely the SAME I doubt there are some contacts between these two mangaka hhhhhh

Aki i really like her and like i said i really want her and Yori to get together

also just like i said when Kino said i might fall in love with you as i said its ok if you dont but dont act weird when someone comes around and goes after her like Aki which who's been love with Yori for a long time

but sadly as much as i would love Aki and Yori to get together we all know just like many series the person whole loved the person for years and only just now want to do something about it will get hurt in the end

i honestly really dont like Kino at all and i really just want Kino and Yori to just be friends and thats it cause if comes the next few chs and Kino tried to for herself to love Yori its just gonna be annoying as fuck

but again we'll see where things goes
