Ohhhh the pureblood thing got me confused, but it'd make sense if he drank the blood of a pureblood. But how would he have gotten the blood of a pureblood? Maybe he's just ridiculously strong, since he was already strong as a human? I'm not sure

The process of turning into a vampire wouldn't make you pureblood. Even being a human beforehand would accentuate the fact that he wasn't pureblood! (Or I could just be talking out of my ass and my facts are wrong)
