Who Made Me a Princess - Vol. 2 Ch. 78

Poor jeanette. She didnt asked to be born that way. She just wanted some love from family😢

I agree w everyone here that Lucas was too rude to poor Aternitas. But honestly, he was just being a grumpy old guy who was not in the mood for nonsense. Not an excuse really but he's probably dealt w too many ppl not being able to understand him (cos he sucks at teaching basically. He teaches like Hinata from HQ lol) Besides, he's changed a lot from back then thanks to Athy.

Also about the age gap, at this point, it doesn't matter how old Lucas is because irl no ones ever gonna be 1000yrs old. He might as well be 100 (for human years). And Athy herself is old, this is her 3rd life & she was a working adult in her prev one (modern world) so she is approx 60-70yrs old now? Athy & Lucas are both old & at this point age doesn't really matter. They are both just very compatible.
But with Ezekiel, he is still a young teen while Athy is way older.

What Ezekiel said to Jeanette tho was a bit too harsh :') He has grown up w her his whole life & should know how sensitive she can be. I might not care much for Jeanette, but it still sucks to have someone say that to you. He could have just said he liked Athy romantically but liked Jeanette as a sibling. But saying Athy is more important to him is very hurtful. She is already trying her hardest to find someone who loves her.
Then again, I can never feel as bad for her as I did for Athy. She still lived a relatively good life. She had everything she needed + Ezekiel taking care of her etc. Athy's prev life was miserable. She was living like a pauper even tho she was a princess, she was treated like a nobody, shown up by Jeanette on her own debutante etc etc. In that life Jeanette KNEW Athy was Claude's daughter but idk how much she did to try & get Claude to accept her... In this life no one technically knows Jeanette has jewel eyes (Athy does, but she also knows she is Claude's only daughter). Despite all this, she is still very kind to Jeanette & tries to make her feel accepted.
I think the problem just comes down to Jeanette being selfish w/o even realizing it. She is naive & unaware of everything else. Athy is always considerate, even in her prev life.

lucas is just a sassy queen honestly, and thats what i love about him.he was a fucking asshole to aternithas and all but its cute to see him soften up becus of athy

to ppl who keep saying that ijekiel was just clearing things up and not rejecting them out of nowhere, then wy the fuck did he say sorry?thats what ppl say when they reject someone.also there WAS a nicer way he could've prhase his rejection.he could've said that he likes athy romantically and that he just see jennette as a sister, but he just said that someone else is the most important person in his life and that its not her.how would you feel if someone says that u r not the most important after spending your whole childhood together?well, you probably wouldnt know cus uve never experienced it and becus u dont care about jennette,ur just trying to defend ur ijekiel.what ijekiel was not cool and u just need to face it becus what lucas did to aternitas or whatever was a really assholey move.im not saying u should hate them or anything, just that u have to understand that ppl do rlly stupid things sometimes and that u cant always defend them.

The start of jeanette's villain origin story...
Also. *shoves lucas and ezekiel out of the way* give us more daddy pls!
(Thank you for your work! Loved the chapter!

Damn, I feel hella bad for Jeanette, but honestly? I'm kinda happy reality has punched her in the face. She's so delusional it makes my head hurt. Happy-go-lucky can be good, but Jeanette is not seeing things how they are, and ignores the (very likely) suffering of Athanasia. Family? Girl, has Claude even had one (1) proper conversation with you? This man and his daughter are dealing with his amnesia, and you think now is a good time to become family? She's sheltered, naive, delusion, and basically making a fan fiction of herself, Claude, and Athanasia. (not a romantic one) This really isn't a good look if you want anyone to like her.

I don't necessarily blame her because she being manipulated and has been fed lies since birth by our lovely Mr. White. This is messed up.

I thought a heroine is supposed to be humble and graceful. We're constantly shown that Jeanette feels being royalty is her birthright. It's not just missing family either. She treats her adoptive family like strangers and apparently cries about not living in a castle.

Ezekiel is a dick. So is Lucas. Athanasia and Jeanette deserve better than those assholes.

Is this the start of Jeanette's ~proper~ blackening? I feel sad for her but she needs a slap of reality. Also, I ship Athy and Lucas, bUUUUUUUUUt the age gap really bothers me a little. Ezekiel is a cute boi but I really prefer Lucas lel. More Claude scenes, please. Thanks for the update!!!

Fuck You, Ezekiel. You weren't supposed to break Jeannette's heart like that. I'm revoking your Athy priveleges.

Wtf people are too heartless towards Jeanette... okay I won’t lie I get annoyed whenever she shows up in the story but DAMN nobody wants her so I feel bad.

@Potato_chippus
exactly, I feel like people are just trying to cut Ezekiel some slack, and it's kinda dumb. I took the time to put myself in Jeanette's shoes (using my childhood friend that I see as a little brother) and I felt like I was just punched in the face. I was dumbfounded that he worded the rejection that way. I kinda doubt that Jeanette would've gotten the hint otherwise, but the way he phrased it made me pissed off at him. he could've worded it like 'I like Anthy romantically, but I see you as a sister.' or something.

@krzywasabi let's say you do something as dumb as Jennette and hurts those other people. Do you think they will consider your feelings when talking to you? They won't because they will think you are heartless and don't consider other people's feelings so you don't care for those "minors" things.

Some people say duh! but you must be the mature one and behave accordingly. Yes, sure that will totally happen when that person experienced so much pain and then someone came and saved them or in their way to falling in despair they were able to teach them. No one knows from the start how to act. You learn as your experience life. The problem that many people have with Jennette is that she is not learning and is still behaving the way she does, but she is SO sensitive that anything done to her, she takes it too seriously.

I think many people didn't take to hear the first time Jennette was harming people because they thought she does it without knowing but that has a limit, too. I think people don't want to tell her right at her face because she would take it in the wrong way. They just prefer to just forget about it but when it comes to sharing their emotions with her, they prefer to just avoid her/ no include her.

@kazuyu well he is old enough to behave the way he does. He is mature but when it comes to the love department he is childish like a kid like Ezekiel lol. I prefer Athy with the knight because they are just 10 years apart. Remember she was in her 20s when she died in her second life and came back to her first life with the experience and adult conscious of her modern time. Lucas, it is different. He is like her great-great-great-great-great grandfather :<. The knight is old as her dad but stays young because of his parents. I ship knight x athy lmao.

Guys, Ezekiel's family isnt Jeanette's adoptive family, its her family. Ezekiel is her cousin, lol. His mother is the sister of the two ladies who died.
It goes both ways, Ezekiel's family doesnt treat her like she is part of it and she doesn't consider them family.
