Assuming all of those goods were for or from Takamiya, it’s safe to assume that Kagari really did take some of his used tableware, or maybe even the plates (and you can see his uniform/clothes down the bottom) and replaced it with brand new ones.

@kyujyu, i’m going to guess that the “source” of the info that got Alvina to come here is the transformer witch. Kazane being in trouble & focused on the workshop witches makes it easier for Transformer witch to free Kayou & Kayou to do what a they want.

@Kyujyu Alcina's underlings have thus far not proven themselves super competent. Kayou almost certainly knew they had followed her underling and probably timed the request to mimic Takamiya so that it would be the only bit they saw of the conversation.

The suspense comes from knowing that someone is deliberately setting him up, and wondering who it is, what their goal is, how the others will react and how he will clear his name.

@Ironclad Tension remains because, as far as we know, Alcina is unaware of the shapeshifter. And now, the excuse that "Oh yeah, did we mention someone snooping around here can assume others' appearances?" will seem horribly contrived to her and she'll be forced to act to prevent Evermillion from falling back into Original Kagari's hands.
