Agathe's design changed a good amount compared to how it looked here, she now looks cuter and younger. Tbh though I prefer this initial design a lot better.

the emotion is all over the place lol, so many switches to serious moment and pretty panels but it just feels awkward.

It reminds me of something I read in some manga or whatever.. "Magic is a tool. It is not evil itself, If magic is used for harm then it is the person who is evil." Or while I dont agree with it 100% of the time "Guns dont kill people, People do." as in guns are just a tool to be used by people.

Interesting. I like how magic is being discussed very heavily and is a centerpiece of the story unlike so many other series. It’s a good start but let’s see. The only problem is that the mangaka doesn’t know how to explain emotions. Coco goes from sad to happy to aspiring, there isn’t very much consistency.
