This is one of the most clearly gay things I've ever read without a BL tag.
It be gay.
(Or at least, any interpretation to the contrary at this point would have a lot of explaining to do. Unless that explanation is that the cat bloke is actually a girl, or something.)
Like, on the flip-side, there's maybe not much romance as such here, genre-wise, just an eternal slice-of-life-comedy in a perpetual state of blatant budding romance and subtle-ish flirtation? And honestly said a more-proper romance seems like it could get sort of horrible, because the wolf butler is way in control of their interactions and has cat-boy pretty much wound 'round his finger a lot of the time, in a way that seems like it could get really creepy really fast in a later stage of such a relationship, and heck already edges a bit into creepy from time to time... Especially given that there rather seems to be some manner of noticable age gap, too.
Like, the cat is blushing at their interactions all the damn time (but shows no such bashfulness around anyone else), and is shown to in tsundere fashion to want to do lovers-ish-stuff despite proclamations to the contrary, and the wolf both teases and gets jealous and protective all the time...
It be gay.
