Actually, "Tarou" is just a common ending component of Japanese male names. It's like calling him Q-bert. But referencing jojo references is just a meme, so I didn't want to ruin everyone's fun with facts. @Greyvenn
(Also, I'm pretty sure Kyuutarou is a really weird name. Didn't the MC remark that when they met? Or am I misremembering? I certainly remarked it anyway.)

My 2 cents about this whole reference thing: "Q-taro" is actually a reference to the Fujiko Fujio duo's manga Obake no Q-taro, about a ghost living with a family. If Wikipedia is to go by, this ghost was also referred as Q-chan (Kyuu-chan :) ), too.

...Also, highly possible, the Jojo reference thing from Part 3 is actually an Obake no Q-taro reference, too.
