This is true and somewhat useful information. Socks can help when it's moderately hot, but don't help that much when it's REALLY hot. Carrying your pet does happen, and I've sure done that. I also had to put socks on my previous dog when her pawpads were injured or the ground was too rough for her feet. Dog shoes didnt' fit, so we had to use baby socks and tape.
