Everyone complaining about her armor like that even mattered in this battle. She's a speed/mobility-fighter, not a heavy infantry tank. Even leather is restrictive in that case (she even mentioned they can boost their speed/mobility with wind magic, so she's used to moving much faster than most humans can). There's a reason why male speed-fighters tend to wear furs or loincloths and not much else.

@RedlineAlchemist Armor is overrated, in actual wars only an extreme minority would actually use complete sets of armor.
Those things were so expenive that small countries would actually get into debt to pay for such armors for their elite troops.
It was way more common to see people wearing light armor sets, or even just a breastplate a couple of gauntlets and armor for the legs, because they couldn't afford more. So I don't get why is it that much of a problem to use innefficient armor.
She's an elite, she's fully confident that she won't let either arrow or sword get though her defenses so full armor would be a waste. This is possible because it's a fantasy, people CAN become that strong.
And even if a stronger fighter showed up and beat her, it certainly wouldn't be because she wasn't wearing full armor. Because you can deal with full armor by just immobilizing the enemy and sitcking a dagger between their armor joints. That's the main reason why Daggers were usually referred to as armor killers A better fighter would do this as easily as simply overpowering her and hitting her belly.

Her armor is absolutely ridiculous. It might protect against a chance cut or stab, though even that is unlikely. Since it's skintight, i.e. no padding, all the force of the blow would just go straight into her chest anyways, knocking the air out of her lungs. Besides, it only protects a fraction of her bodymass, might as well just wear an actual bikini for all the good it does.

Obviously, otherwise I wouldn't bother. But if everyone who doesn't like it gets to have a say, there's no reason I can't. And my point remains valid. No one complains when males wear loincloths to a battle, the fact you all are here whinging about relatively pointless armor (still more defensive than furs and straps like a male would wear at that level of exposure) feels like egregious white-knighting bull to me.
No amount of proper armor would have helped here. No one complaining here has even bothered touching on that. As for her normal battles? I'm either going to assume the armor's enchanted in some way, or her speed-boost from wind magic essentially makes her untargetable. She's not covered in scars (we can see so much of her to make this call), after all, so by using whatever logic pervades their world's circumstances she's likely almost never taken a serious hit in combat before.
If I was pretty much just immune to attacks normally would I wear full plate? ... The answer is no. Yet whenever the subject of female armor comes up, no one is ever satisfied until a woman's wearing what amounts to a titanium burka with some more ablative armor plating tacked on. And maybe a voice changer so you think it's a guy. It gets pretty ridiculous - as much as bikini armor itself.

@RedlineAlchemist - yes, normal clothes or leather "armor" would have about the same effect as bikini armor. So why not wear bikini armor? Unless it's one of those uncomfortable spiked ones.

The point is, bikini armor is physically stupid, and looks ridiculous, can you even call it armor? Armor is suppose to cover and protect, I don't need to write a Bible to tell you why "normal" armor is better than bikini, and I'm not talking about heavy full plate, just light with leather and all that, Goblin Slayer's armor for example
