At the very least, it is good to see a stubborn noble, who was obsessed with prestige and a corrupt system, starting to acknowledge that he's beat and knows when to fold it.

Maybe the ``Promotion-Manga´´ did it´s job good enough (and/or wasn´t as popular as the Novel) and enough impatient Readers are now reading the novel.

If this is following the web novel, this is pretty close to the last translated chapter (97 translated, 102 full chapters, chapter 97 takes place between chapter 70-74 of the manga give or take) this is likely the actual ending of the story, unless they do some of the side stories.

Just because it says its ending soon doesnt mean its ended yet, that's why the pub status is still ongoing.

There are people who read the WN saying its ending so it probably means it truly is ending
