@Digitrash that's pretty much how Japanese people talk IRL. They say a ton of things but they only talk around the thing they actually want to talk about and YOU have to figure out what it is they're trying to tell you.

what a horrible thing to say, especially about the suicide rates. just because you lack the capacity to understand them doesn't mean they don't understand each other. japanese is a very passive and courteous language - a lot of things are implied regarding subjects and objects in conversation.

plus, the things they're talking about in this manga are pretty straightforward and basic - i would say the problems with comprehension are more on your end than theirs.
