It's said in an ambiguous way where the subject is omitted but assumed. Not only that, but even if you assume the subject was him, daisuki can be taken as romantic love, familial love, or just plain "I like ya a lot!" So it wouldn't be taken to seriously in such a situation since she's likely just expressing her thanks for the gift.
