I honnestly don't remember what his wooden sword looked like, but if you want to use a wooden weapon in combat, just take a mass or a club xD it will be way easier to use, and more efficient
But if you choose a wooden sword, well, the balance should be the same as a metal sword, so the weight should be the same, the user wouldn't tired himself after a few sings

Just wanted to chime in on the wooden sword vs iron sword. I don't really see the point of weight differences, he's swapping weapons so he has to get used to the new sword, like fitting in a new pair of shoes. Secondly his left arm was unusable until recently, he might have restored it physically but the mental subconscious blocks and using it again in his swordsmanship will take a lot of training and rehab. I believe it was 9 years ago iirc he got his injury and restored it a week ago.

Reality: Swords are a side-arm. A backup weapon one can carry everywhere and it's just a 2-3 lb weight on your hip. The Rapier didn't popularize until firearms made wearing a full suit of armor less cost effective.

Lets get this straight... The get skill points from teh guild..... to upgrade their spells ? But arnt their skill inherent when they are born? So why do they need skills from the guild..... Somethings fishie right here. If this was a game, it would make sense... but this isnt a game.. Its RL for these fellas. My guessis the author is so wrapped up in his game world, he doesnt understand this doesnt work in a fantasy RL setting. Asume the worlds real, not a game. They dont look like NPCs to me.

Also, didnt that guy grow hair ? did he shave it off ?
