That's a fucking stupid argument. Me or someone else not doing what a volunteering is doing is not an excuse for them to do a shit job and does not invalidate my right to complain about that shit job.

Stupid comments aside, I really hate these kinds of romances, where it's a young guy and an older girl or vice versa and there's a bunch of screen time and relationship growth for the two of them and nothing fucking happens at the end (Looking at you Kono Oneesan wa Fiction desu!?), though I can't find myself caring that much in this one. This one is the type that clearly shouldn't have a romance tag. There's just nothing that really feels romantic there. I'm more annoyed at the incorrect and misleading tagging. What will piss me off is when the author shoe horns romance in at the end.

He clearly finds her attractive, sure. About once every 12 chapters. But an attraction is not romance unless it's acted upon. We're 45 chapters in, at this point we're just being baited.

Well here we disagree, to me the fact that he has feelings for her, even if he can't act for obvious reasons, still qualifies ad romance.
And looking carefully at the story so far, we are clearly seeing that Yamato is slowly filling the void in Yakumo's heart due to the death of her husband. Given the premise of the series, to me this is enough and I'll be happy if in the end we'll have a grown up Yamato going out or even be married to Yakumo, but if One is in search of a story focused in romance this isn't clearly the right manga.

I don't think there will be any romance between them. It's just a slice of life manga with some cooking in it, and fluff of course. Just enjoy it for fucks sake
