Realizing that women bleed for a week and can die of a urinary tract infection made me realize that if modern society didn't exist many/most women would be fucked. Also being reincarnated as one in a non-modern world would probably mostly suck for the stated reasons, besides the more cliche "daddy wants me to marry someone I don't love" reasons.
