People keep calling Seto a coward and what not which is true. But you say it as if you expect something to change quickly when just 2-3 chaps ago we still see he has a huge confidence issue and still believes anjou is just teasing him because that’s how she is. He’s not gonna get it unless anjou says it herself but she hasn’t because either 1) she wants things to stay as they are because it’s fun or 2) she wants him to tell her his feelings first. Or both.

Yeh sure, it sucks watching this dude be so dickless. But at the same time, I’ve actually come to like watching this idiotic duo. I believe all of this will build up into him having a serious ‘manning up’ moment which will be made all the more sweeter by all these ‘cowardly’ moments beforehand.

If you read nagatoro it's the same trope with only slight changes to a 'beta' mc mindset even after a similar amount of chapters so far. It's not gonna take one 'oh shit' moment to move things forward but multiple, whether they be exciting or frustrating to read through.
