We've all seen shameless begging for donation among scanlators, this is not it. Even if it was, it's absolutely hilarious and would be worth donating to tbqh.

I still love you guys’ stance on the issue of money and scanlation. Unlike other hobbies like drawing or playing games, scanlation falls into the illegal side of things and therefore we should already be glad we get to spread the love of these manga. I never understood the thought process of having a team = needs donation. Your effort and time and money spent on the manga are all up to you, no one is forcing you to make ends meet. I’ve been part of a few groups and they have a tight working schedule like a low-pay full time job (except there’s no pay). Like, are people areally doing this as a hobby at the end of the day?

Thank you for being one of the few rare groups that know the fine line between for-profit and for-community.

@kn1000a For me, it's fine to ask for donations if you are not paywalling content, like some groups do.
Manga scanlations are already a grey area, so making money off manga, at least for me, is not a big deal. Even Mangadex, a site who hosts illegal manga accepts donations, so i'm not sure if their problem is only scanlators asking for donations or it extends to the site aswell.
