I think it's a combination of things... she ultimately will miss him whatever he decides to do... but after hearing how he failed his entrance exam and ended up in their school and worried that all her playing may have put his studying and his determination to do well in jeopardy. He did well but now she is holding back and asking if it's ok to do things because she doesn't want to trouble him further. But it's depressing her the idea of losing him.
