I'm kinda amazed at the author, really trying to complete a story without leaving loose ends, Lycoris said this must be close to the end, but I think we still have another 2 or 3 volumes before the real ending, passing through every possible target/villain from the novel and it'll probably end with Lycoris and Wolf's marriage( I actually want the author to show a little bit of their married life)

This girl basically seems like the embodiment of the "childhood friend trope". Knew the person they were interested in for years but couldn't muster up the courage. Then rivals arrive on the scene and get much closer than them in days and suddenly they start to feel threatened. Except without the romance part. I never really liked that trope with a few exceptions but it's fine here since there's no additional drama due to it not being romantic interest and was resolved quickly. Btw Childhood friends are almost always some of my least favourite characters in most mangas I've read.
