@Nitouryu One of my favorite things about another series I read that was more of a superheroes thing was when the main villain of the series denounced the idea of going after a hero's loved ones because it was incredibly stupid to do anything that might push someone you're likely to fight over the edge. The main character in that series in particular is apparently the strongest being on the entire planet that is highly populated with supers, it turns out, so goading someone like that into ditching the usual heroic policies against murder and excessive violence? Maybe not such a good idea, pushing people over the edge whatever the scale of things is.
