I'm gonna guess one of two things are going on:

1. That most/all vampires in this setting have some kind of hypnosis effect so they can make someone fall in love for the first bite, and Nazuna doesn't want to use it and wants to let him fall in love naturally.
2. The trigger is actually sex while feeding, not love, and Nazuna's being romantic and doesn't want to have sex without an intimate connection.

Given how they gave him his choice of vampire, I'm leaning toward the second one.

Like many others, I got the feeling Nazuna was hiding something. My guess would be that she doesn't want a thrall or a servant and wants a genuine connection with him.

Given Seri's comments indicating that Nazuna is a bit of a meathead, there may be individual differences among the vampires in terms of capability. It would be amusing if the case is that Nazuna can't make people fall in love with her, giving rise to her odd stance about making more vampires.

1. It was her dads wife back when she was alive, so... mother in law.
1a. Married her vampire daddy?
2. She is the one who made her a vampire. So a "mother" in a sense. So you can use mother in law.

Guess we'll see.
