Yondome wa Iya na Shizokusei Majutsushi - Vol. 2 Ch. 9 - Sweet Revenge

Yeah, skeleton bird can finally fly :D

Thanks for the chapter of our God of Death's Gospel.

A good revenge doesn't have to involve death. Destroying a livelihood can be a much more effective and long lasting alternative.

And previously I thought he gonna massacre them all... rather than making everyone broke

I have to say, that's pretty hilarious. Turning all the important structures in the town into golems and just having them leave. XD

There's now a 24-hour delay on chapters that some might notice.
This chapter came out 2 days ago...right now the latest chapter from Sushi is "Yuukyuu no Gusha Asley no, Kenja no Susume chapter 5" that you can read on the sushi site

In the light novel he even turned the fields into golems to set farming in that area back by decades.

Sadly this is the only time that he is nice about it.
Later it just becomes soul destruction and equally horrid things for pretty much every slight

Whats with the sudden quality drop in artstyle. The pacing also feels rushed this chapter

Dejavu... oh wait I read this at mangasushi site couple days ago 🤣

The difference between manga and their novels is the rushed pace. Read the novel it’s way father in chapters. But also keep an eye on the manga for the artistic side.

@Varler Reminds me of a DnD story I once heard about. DM gave an extensive recount of the history of a particular town, told by the barkeep to the players. At the end of it, one of the players asked why the mountain that's supposed to be right next to the town in it's history, isn't there in their current adventure. [The DM mixed up his stories and so created a continuity error.] So the DM just proclaimed that the mountain simply grew legs and walked away. Nobody in the town could explain it, so people eventually stopped caring about the disappearing mountain and went on with their lives.

He pretty much crippled the village, which in turn will start to bleed out villagers and then pretty much turn into a ghost town. That noble's career is pretty much dead and will never be able to live it down.
Yeah, this "proper" revenge could be seen as the only time he is this "merciful" but all the other times will be worse because they are initiated by those same targets. Like "hey, I know you hate me and my nation. How about I go to your house and start yelling that I will kill your filthy family again, ah, I also brought friends."

Of course he will be all "Nope, be erased, please."
Yes he is outrageous but he does not kill or obliterate without a reason heck
he even forgives the japanese reincarnators that went out of their way to apologize be it by true guilt, no desire to keep fighting, completely terrified of Van, or just because the place where Van currently lives is practically fantasy japan and thus more advances than any other cities in this medieval world. There is even ramen for fuck's sake. The only one's he kills is those who outright try to kill him, he even didn't kill one of the most annoying reincarnators just because he was just talking shit but not attacking and even let him go

So yeah, Van is indeed a Monster but you could say one that follows certain rules for his acts. Don't try to hurt or kill him or his own and you won't get erased. Simple as that. Of course Gordan and Heinz are fucked tho. Everyone involved in her mother's death are marked. No matter how much if any redemption chapters they might have or how great they become after the fact.

Man i wish this would release faster. Two months for just 21 pages seems really slow. But, it's really good so far so it helps to make the wait a bit worth it. Just hope we get the next one sooner than we got this one.
