Back story lore,

mc, is the reincarnation of the heroes of creation. Plural.

Those heroes got snitched by the naturalist heroes, and routed by the demon Lord.

The 2 sides were at odds, as the creation wanted to nuke, the demonlord which has no other casualties other than the tainted lands that needs to be restored afterwards. To prevent casualties.

The naturalist wants to keep the world from being a concrete jungle, and that world's ruling god was of the same mind.
So they snitched on they location to their enemy the demon Lord.

The demon Lord crushed their soul litteraly. To prevent them from being revives and reincarnated. The goddes in manages to get the remains of then and reincarnated in a single being, that is mc and his previous lifes.

The demon Lord then gloated at how stupid the naturalist heroes are, saying, that they basically gave up the means to kill him. And the war culled 80% of the world's population and tainted large amount of lands.

And a dark age of repressed scients, and crusade on anything that would advance knowledge are being suppressed.

Side notes, vampires here are the child of the reanimated body of the leader of the creation heroes, and the goddes.
