Yeah, I got hit with it afresh now that there's an update, and they're large enough that my brain keeps going, roughly, "honey, is your mouth okay? Are you allergic to something?/Did you get hit, do you need an ice-pack?"
As with most weird stylizations, I get mostly used to it fairly quickly.
I'm glad I started reading despite the low ratings. Seems like the ratings are mostly based on the art rather than the story, which is a shame - you can tell almost instantly whether or not you'll like the art, the same can't be said for plot.
Do note that since there's only 10 people who've rated it, a lot of what you're seeing in the (low) raw rating is statistical noise (i.e. with a tiny sample size of ten people, it's luck of the draw on how those ten people choose to rate things, compared to "normal" people) which is likewise why the Bayesian rating is so average (because the whole point of Bayesian ratings is trying to represent statistically how small samples usually will likely move more towards an average rating, once there are more votes).
Which is to say, series ratings with so few votes are simply not a reliable indicator of, well, anything. There's so few people it could just as easily be a random disproportionate catch of drive-by yaoi-haters or some-such.
Having said all that, also: I feel like mostly only the sorts of people who come to a judgement fairly quickly would have rated this already, given that it's obvious the plot hasn't even gotten off the ground yet. But again, the effect of such things is relatively small next to the possibility of sheer random noise at this point.
When i first read it i couldn't stand the art ..but then i keep reading and now i got used to it and i don't see it as weird again bcs the story is interesting
Edit: the story is good and it’s really funny but that lower lip is out of control. The dark-haired guy doesn’t actually look like he does on the cover.
