Youjo Senki - Vol. 14 Ch. 40 - Andrew Report: The Massacre of Arene

What an unbelievable chapter. Time and time again this manga surpasses my expectations. Such intense narrative focusing solely on the consequences, something rarely seen in manga

even mangas can't escape the propagation of history by the winners, why tell the truth when you can tell something that makes you look good instead.
we see the same shit in our world with WW2

Thanks for the new chapter, Something that I really wanted in the anime are the segments that show how the future recalls the actions of the wing 203.

So even after 40 years Tanya is still seen as an unconfirmed existence, a boogiewoman or demoness who hopefully never existed because if she did, then she was nothing less than a hungry monster.

It would be funny if people found out this was the plan of a 10-year-old girl but then again no one would believe that xD

Federal Republic is that the name of what the Empire became? Or is it somehow the reinstated country to the north?

It would have been an interesting chapter, if most of it wasn't just recapping the whole damned arc.

While the victors wrote history, I am surprised their propaganda actually was as honest as it were. They mentioned that the empire had to recover the supply lines at any cost, that the attack saved the front lines. They also mentioned that all jurists agree that it was all in accordance to the rules of warfare at the time, and that no attacks were made until hostages were executed. That the empire had both a need/motive, and a causus belli. They even implied the fact that the riots were supported by foreign powers onsite. Granted, they spoil the objectivity quite a bit by decrying it as evils that were committed, and the foreign troops werent actually stated to exist. But such is the rights of the victors.

That note they found makes me wonder, who at the time of arsene considered her as a hungry beast while also blaming the ones ordering her? The only char I currently know that thinks of her as an absolute maniac, is also wholly against her as if its personal and I dont remember the guy reflecting on her superiors being the people actually giving her the orders.

edit:
@IlsaTilsaKilsaMilsa "A wing of mages attacked first".

based from this "history" the empire probably fought to a "draw" against the world.

I can't be the only one who sorta dislike these future chapters

Since we know roughly what the world is like in the future, we know the war back then won't deviate greatly and that the protagonist won't become particularly famous

Feels kinda like the manga is spoiling itself

Imagine being such an asshole that even Picasso has to make art to show the consequences of your actions

Waiting for new chapters for this manga gives me physical and mental pains. This is too damned good.

havin draw after fighting entire world , its fukin insane
if empire like that exist ,i probably dont want fighting in front against empire -_-

Super glad to see the chapters are coming back! :)

I've tried reading the novel, but tbh it was a bit too... formal and technical to become an interesting read.
