Youjo Senki - Vol. 2 Ch. 4 - Die Wacht am Rhein II

Why doesn't it surprise me that Tanya went to sleep in full uniform, holding a (probably loaded, safety on) rifle, why?

Gotta love the "vampire" face/expression at the end, too. Sadly, Tanya's offsider seems to have gotten used to it.

they could have used their Somuas, instead of that ww1 tank, but, I understand it's for the sake of the plot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Imagine them offering the mutilated enemy bodies to the glorious imperial artillery steel and singing praises through the radio comms hahaha.

And then here's Tanya, with a loaded rifle ready to engage at any time even during sleep... and dual wielding a sniper rifle and what seems to be a rocket launcher... at the tender age of 9 (or so I think)

@3413413241234 / @readercat : Not sure why you two would say that. The anime version of this so far is superior to the manga version in every possible manner, from what I've seen.

@TRShottie : If you could avoid shipping 9-year-olds, that'd be good.

Hikikomori are shut-ins! Like NEETs in our culture right now, they don't go outside and shut themselves in. This is probably far too late since this chapter was released so long ago... But. Yea

@ZestyDreamsicle Hikikomori and NEET aren't the same. The first group, usually has acute or total withdrawal from society. Including friends, often family as well, becoming what we'd call in the west "old age shut-ins." NEET are usually people who "don't give a shit" and get by in society without being in education, employment or some form of training while maintaining family and friend relationships. I think Japan classifies NEET's as fleets?fleeters? can't remember the exact term.

I've got two cousins by marriage who aren't hikikmori but simply live off family and those they help/donate time to fully even though they have no disability or social issues. They spend most of their time volunteering at temples, acting as local guides, and taking care of tourists or simple non-earning work to fill their days instead. They live well, and have zero income. One just finished traveling by foot through the back country of northern Japan, simply doing odd jobs for a meal and room at night. Nothing more, refusing money fully. I'd post their blog about it, but I don't really want people to know who I am.

Love the fonts as it match the esthetic but damn at times it do be difficult to read at a constant pace, as at times I see myself zooming in and out of the chapter breaking that Immersion when it should be doing the opposite.
