But I will take this as it is I suppose. The father going all wonky and demanding that his daughter go on a date with a boy was sort of funny I guess. Y'know, usually it'd be the "How dare someone approach my princess, I will destroy him." I guess since there's actually nothing going on there yet anyway it was a safe enough trope to subvert for something sort of fresher.
