Yuki ni Tsubasa

FWIW, this series ends well, with both of the main characters growing enormously. Tsubasa is hardly recognizable by the end, and Yuki has become a true leader among the girls. But both of them go through hell to get there. This is not an comfortable story, but since I started it (drawn in by the first chapter), I might as well finish it. After I finish some more popular series currently on my plate, the pace will probably pick up a bit.

As for why nobody else with more time on their hands hasn't done it already (the series finished many years ago in Japan), I can only speculate: the raw pages look pretty hard to redraw (I've learned how to deal with it in a cheating fashion), and the story remains dark for a long time. Both are reasons I've heard from others as to why they didn't take the series on, though they say they wanted to.

The series was considered good enough by the Japanese to require a sequel, and that sequel is another eight volumes long. Both of the main characters appear at the start of that series, so I suppose that series is about them also. Whether it is light or dark in tone I have no idea.

This mangaka’s staff is nuts - can he even be called that, anymore? I read the ultimate weapon girlfriend manga prior to rereading this and thought he was more like a director and noticed he is listed as such, here. Seems like it must be an expensive operation.

@rpapo thanks for the update; glad to hear you plan on finishing it. You’ve done such a good job on this (and everything else you’ve worked on) so, that’s encouraging to hear. Love this series.

@nodamnbrakes - I agree he's more like a director here. It also helps to explain why the drawing style goes all over the map.

Fuck me is this series dark, it's kind of painful to read what shitty place they live in and what happened to them, but I can't stop. Thanks for the chapters you've done thus far, it must be a pain to translate a series this text heavy.

This is one of the most beta protagonist I have ever seen. He might as well just take the hormones and transition to being a "girl".

DARK ROAD AHEAD.

This happens to most women guys, don't downplay it and go "that's just in mangas", this shit happens all the time, this is a great wake up call to some, but incels won't take it as such.

I see the sexual violence tag and I kinda got scared. So like what happens exactly?

@Khansolo
they are in a town with a grooming circle so yeah and just about everyone is in it cause it brings in money or something

Noice! been looking for a heavy drama. MC seems to get better everytime theres a incident too.

Every chapter translated is a joy but the massive wait bring only sorrow, understable seeing how this manga is done, gotta have patience.

Great premise with strong foundations but... the useless ecchi shit kills it for me unfortunately.
