Yuusha no Mago to Maou no Musume - Vol. 3 Ch. 10

Do not be fooled by page 9...

After some thinking, I can promise a translation only until chapter 13 or 14, depending on when the real end of this arc is.
Once done, I might or might not do the rest, without any guarantees.
If someone wants to work on this they don't have to ask me anything, just do it.
If nobody steps up, I'll try to release a chapter monthly or close to it, but as I said I'm not taking any responsibility.

Honestly... the heros piss me off BUT I will admit’s mostly because we haven’t received an explanation for why kazuto (the gramps) betrayed Darkne and her father. It also doesn’t help that none of the demons we see have actually been demonstrated as genuinely evil or anything. (Unless we count the ones that attack sakura’s sister which is undeniably evil though i do understand the sentiments ie not being able to harm the gramps so they went for his grandaughter)

thank you for your work!
edit: i'm missing something... why did she said "my father's daughter", they aren't sisters, right?!

The shown two memebers of the royal family for 2 pages, I'm already hoping that they will end badly.

@shemper Being recognized as the next Demon King would automatically make Sakurako the true daughter of the previous Demon King in the eyes of Demon-kind, robbing Darkne of her birthright.

Damn I feel sorry for Darkne.

She was betrayed (although we don't know the reason yet) by the guy she basically raised, which caused her entire family to get killed and her nation to get destroyed, then she got imprisoned for 50 years and while the humans see her as some kind of dangerous monster, her own kind views her as a traitorous coward.

I do wonder what she exactly wants though, because it doesn't seem to be revenge.

@HDMI1 i understand that but i still struggle to understand the meaning of the sentence page 18, is it like, her own pride of being the daughter "by birthright" of her father?
(sry english isn't my first language)

@shemper Ah, then you would be correct. It is her pride at being able to tell people that she's the daughter of the Demon King.

@HDMI1 thank you, it was really confusing to me, i skimmed all chapters but i struggled lol thanks for the enlightening

@IronVader501 she'd sort of just given up on life, not wanting anything in particular. I believe eventually she will have a goal again, but for now this story is more of just the unlikely friendship between her and Sakurako.

@shemper Dakuneria is Demon royalty. The current translator chose to translate maou as Demonlord (which in fairness is the most common translation of the word), but in this particular series the term 'Demon King' would have been better. Dakuneria is the daughter of the demon king, and only the descendants of the demon king have horns. So you can say those horns are the symbol of demon royalty, and thus her 'pride' (really they mean her identity - proof that she is her father's daughter).

Now Sakurako seems to even have that, meaning her very identity is being stolen away/cheapened.
