This battle feels really weird. Not the overall concept of "hey I wanna die, you want my heart, everyone would be a winner" but half the dialog just feels really strange and disjointed, like the author had a scene they wanted to do and just suddenly tried to jam it in to the manga. Hopefully it's not a symptom of an axe.
