Wut. That's still a wyvern.
Wyvern = winged, biped
*Dragon = quadruped
*Leaving out types like the serpent-like long dragons, and wingless ground ones.
Ah well, I guess over time, 'what is a dragon' has been over-homogenized.
Damn it, now I'm reminded of the PSO Ep I & II bosses of the Forest and VR Spaceship zones: Dragon, Sil Dragon(Ultimate difficulty), and Gol Dragon.
All 3 of them were friggin' wyverns, XD

@BrokenOne Nah, not just you. For one, as @Phaaze pointed out, it's a Wyvern based on common classifications of dragons and dragonoid creatures.
Secondly, the proportions are absolutely horrible, there's no way anything like this could ever fly, much less survive anyways. A gigantic tail, almost reminds me of a Xenomorph queen's egg sac. This is then coupled with massive belly, big and thick upper legs, all rounded out by small wings on ridiculously tiny "arms" attached to the place where the neck is supposed to be, except it doesn't have a neck in the first place.
This creature is just horribly designed.

Yea. It was clearly a wyvern, but the mangaka said it was a dragon (I honestly don't know at this point. The mangaka has been switching between "wyverns" and "dragons" the whole time). I was going to use "wyvern" for the boss, but then it wouldn't make sense cuz Ed kills his tribemates when they "blacken" and he's part of the dragon tribe. So, I stuck with dragon for the boss.
