Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai vs. Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko

It's in no way homophobic. Only those people who have read tons of BL (and who also happen to have a sense of humor) would get the jokes, they're the intended audience for this series. It's satire, as @kinakomochi pointed out.

Thanks for picking this up.

@Lesurous Yeah I mean obviously he isn't interested but he also doesn't want his brother to be in a relationship with a guy.
The subtext is just a little hmmm

@petra, you are reading too much into this.

Like it has been said, the MC shows no disdain or revolte about the relationships of his fellow classmates or brother, he is simply VERY annoyed on the fact that this relationships are being created by the most ridiculous and cliched situations that only he seems to be aware of.

MC is living in a world where at any corner some all powerful force will push you into a cliche, after a while, not only does this become annoying but also something you have to be cautious of at every single second of your day, hence why we see MC show annoyance and sarcasm wen his Brother was confessed, because he knows his brother is being influenced by the powers of his world, he simply just had enough, we see how his world and the fact that he is aware of the cliches has molded the MCs personality, he had to become cynical in order for him not to fall to the whims of his world, he is in a constant battle against this power .

Plus, kmon, why would the Author be that set on making the MC homophobic or have subtle homophobic views wen its clear that the Author is VERY knowledge-able about BL and there was lots on care on making the BL-victims have somewhat of a personality ? Hell, the MC even shows that he (in a very annoyed tsundere way) acknowledges that his Brother would create a misunderstanding in his relationship (And kmon, he says he wont care but just the fact he is thinking about the consequences shows that deep down he wants just wants his brother to be okay).

@Cephalon_Hope I don't think the author is set on making the MC homophobic, I don't think it's an intentional character trait. I'm just reading into it too much for fun, like how I'm wondering what makes the "BL-victims" victims when they're just entering into what appear to be happy relationships.

Also if everyone's gay then is birthrate even worse than it is in reality? Is the gay just localised to an area surrounding the MC? Is there a gay field? 🤔

@petra Its fine to read to much into something, but in this case there just isnt anything to back up the claim.

What makes the "BL-victims", well, victims, is the fact that despite being in happy relationships, they are entering them because of an outside force and their behavior is also being affected by said outside force (from what we know), therefor making a distinction between the BL-victims and MC, because the victims feelings, behaviors and will seem to be forced apon by the said outside force.
Plus, we see the MC doesn't blame the characters but the outside force (which only the MC seems to acknowledge so far).

PS: obviously this isnt meant to be taken in a serious tone, its a comedy manga after all .

And well, about the birthrate (even though this really doesn't meter to the comedy aspect of the manga and its once again only something you think if you chose to go past what the manga is), lets just say that since this is a BL world "Omegaverse" maybe is a thing there, or some people just manage to live their life whiteout the force intervening or somehow escape the force by sheer coincidence, who knows.

@Cephalon_Hope Oh you think their behaviour is influenced by an outside force? I figured with a 'BL world' came 'BL characters' inhabiting it. Since we haven't seen a straight character suddenly become gay (most of his peers are already interested in men).
I dunno if these characters have free will.. Oh god imagine this manga covered the omegaverse.. I do not need to see that butt pregnancy stuff 💀

@petra Well, I am not saying characters become gay or not (even if its a cliche wen a straight characters/friend falls in love whit the MC) , what I am saying is that from what we have seen is that "the cliche" is what influences them to fall in love, or that they are basically part of the cliche themselves, we see characters meet each other because of the power of "the cliche", maybe it is indeed more simple then that and "BL world" by definition simply means that BL cliches are a norm and characters just have the set BL mentality of "this is happening, oh well".

But lets be real here, we simply arent meant to think about it, the more you think about something the less logical it seems, specially in BL or comedy, so... just think from what you are told and that the "BL world" is simply a place where our MC experiences lots of cliches, we have no need to think about free will, birth rate or realism in a META work.

@petra He's against his brother going gay because his brother's supposed to be a mob character like him. If even he isn't safe, it's dangerous. Really though, it's just him combatting BL, not homosexuals in general. Oh yeah, an afterthought, if his brother entered a BL relationship, it'd destroy his only sanctuary from BL, his home.

I am simply amazed by how proficient the MC is in dodging BL when it is practically thrown at him at every and corner. lol

Reading this makes me die inside a little as I am also a fan of BL, but the parody is spot on.

someone should recommend a manga for every trope shown in each chapter

I don't like bl, but this concept and its execution is spot on and hilarious, I recommend it even if you don't like bl

dont let yourself be distracted from the fact that this manga tricks you into reading actual bl

Pretty fun to read despite me hating bl, except for this one it is about comedy and not love. Would be pretty cool where he meets a girl whose experience is seeing yuri instead.

Regardless of where the ML is heading this is pretty good.

It will be interesting to see if another character who is self aware will pop up.
